True-crime and murder mysteries are on trend once again, and Only Murders in the Building knew how to take advantage of it. Mixing the genre popularized by Agatha Christie and her novels, but with a comedy tone and poking fun at the audience's recent obsession with true-crime stories thanks to Netflix’s documentaries, the series follows Mabel, Charles and Oliver, three residents of New York's iconic building The Arconia who have a podcast dedicated to solving crimes.

In the season two finale, after solving the case of the moment, a new murder shocks the community. It is about the death of Ben Glenroy, the main actor in Oliver's play, played by none other than Paul Rudd. The third installment will try to reconstruct the events that led to his death, while the protagonists solve the mystery.
In addition to Rudd, the new episodes of Only Murders in the Building will feature the performance of Academy Award-winner Meryl Streep, one of the big surprises that Hulu announced for the show right after it was renewed for a third season.
