That's a wrap on season 3 of Only Murders in the Building. On Twitter, a video was shared on the show's official account with the cast and crew making the announcement. The clip, which you can watch in the tweet below, features the three leads of the series — Steve Martin, Selena Gomez, and Martin Short — emerging from an elevator while announcing the wrap in front of a packed room of crew members, all of whom begin applauding.

"I know you don't pick people, but of the three, who's your favorite?" Short asks of the crowd.

"Oh, they pick people," Martin responds.

The tweet of the wrap video adds, "That’s a wrap on Season 3. Thank you to our incredible cast and crew for bringing this season to life. We can’t wait for everyone to see it!"

The series first debuted on Hulu in 2021, where it was met with widespread acclaim and high viewership. Both seasons had even garnered perfect 100% scores at Rotten Tomatoes. A renewal order was put in, and the second season was streamed last summer. With continued success, the series was again renewed for the third season that will continue to follow Charles-Haden Savage, Oliver Putnam, and Mabel Mora as murder mysteries plague their shared apartment building.

Only Murders in the Building is the true crown jewel of our slate,” a Hulu statement read when the series was announced. “Its appeal across generations, the intersection of humor and heart, and its truly original approach are a hallmark of and testament to Dan, John, Steve, Marty, and Selena’s work. We are grateful to be able to continue telling the stories of Charles, Oliver and Mabel to viewers that have consistently shown us they crave more of this story.”

New murder mysteries also means different cast members. Season 2 brought in names like Cara Celevingne, Zoe Colletti, and Amy Schumer. Some names that appeared in the first two seasons will also be absent from season 3, as Nathan Lane and Amy Ryan have confirmed that they won't be back as Teddy and Jan Dimas. Of course, it's worth noting that Meryl Streep is coming in for season 3, and that casting has many fans excited to see how she gets involved in the next murder mystery. Her debut in the show was previously unveiled in a teaser from Hulu.

Paul Rudd is also set to return in the third season of the show. Given what happened with his character in season 2, that may be leaving fans with a lot of questions as to how that will be addressed. For his part, Rudd just seems starstruck to be involved, as a big fan of everyone else that's a part of Only Murders in the Building.

"Surreal doesn't even cover it," Rudd told EW. "For a comedy fan like myself, Martin Short and Steve Martin, that's Mount Rushmore. I mean, truly hero worship. To get to work with them, I still kind of can't believe it. Selena [Gomez], I adore. I've worked with her a couple of times and she's the greatest. And then when I heard Meryl Streep was on board, it just didn't seem real. It still doesn't seem real."

Only Murders in the Building doesn't have a premiere date yet set for its third season. You can stream the first two seasons on Hulu.
