Uncharted sequel gets promising update from producer Charles Roven, more than a year after the release of the movie adaptation of the popular video game.

Photos of Tom Holland wearing a Spider-Man suit as a child and an old interview of the actor confessing Peter Parker would be the hero he would love to play, were all the proof MCU fans needed to know he was destined to play the part, besides the actors gymnastic skills. But that was not the only role Holland revealed he wanted and ultimately got.

In another old interview, the actor said that his favorite video game was Uncharted, and years after that, he was cast as Nathan Drake in the movie adaptation directed by Ruben Fleischer. Unfortunately, his adventures as the famous treasure-hunter were not as successful and well received as the ones he had as Spider-Man.

But with a budget of $120 million dollars, the movie managed to gross mor than $407 million, which is a pretty good number, so fans have been wondering why a sequel hasn't been confirmed yet. And now producer Charles Roven has some good news about the project (via The Hollywood Reporter):

"We had a really good time with that movie. The fans really liked the movie, and people who didn’t know anything about the game really liked the movie. So we are definitely looking to make another one of those."

Uncharted centers on Holland's Nathan Drake, a treasure-hunter who has lost his parents and his older brother, the only person he had left in the world. Years after his brother's disappearance, Nathan is recruited by Victor Sullivan, a man who seems to know where his brother is. Desperate to see him again, Nathan joins Sullivan on his adventure, which will take him to fulfill his own dreams.

The movie also starsMark Wahlberg, Antonio Banderas, Sophia Taylor Ali, Tati Gabrielle, Manuel de Blas, Rudy Pankow, Steven Waddington, Pingi Molí, and Pilou Asbaek como Cage.
