They're eventually forced to relocate from one internment camp to another, leading a government bureaucrat (Sharlto Copley) to inadvertently discover the true goings-on behind their temporary residency.

Actor Sharlto Copley has provided a pretty promising update on the development of a sequel to District 9, revealing that both he and director Neill Blomkamp have written a draft of the script. Appearing on Post Credit Podcast, Copley offered some insight into the direction of the themes that will be included in District 10, and even stated that they are hoping to begin filming the project in a year or so.

Back in February, it was confirmed that 20th Century Fox is moving forward with Alien 5, which has Neill Blomkamp set to direct and Ridley Scott producing. Unfortunately, we reported last month that Alien 5 has been put on hold indefinitely, so the studio and Ridley Scott can focus on making a sequel to Prometheus, now entitled Alien: Covenant. We first heard about Alien 5 in January, when Neill Blomkamp shared concept art illustrations that featured Sigourney Weaver's Ripley and Michael Biehn's Hicks from the 1986 sequel Aliens, with Michael Biehn revealing himself in March that he may come back as Hicks. The actor recently spoke with Icons of Fright, where he revealed that Alien 5 will feature an adult version of Newt, played by Carrie Henn in Aliens.

Ever since District 9 came out, fans have been pining for the sequel District 10, but there is very little we know about the project except for the title. Of course, now the director is working on bringing Alien 5 to the big screen, with Sigourney Weaver reprising her role as Ripley and original Alien director Ridley Scott producing, so it may be quite some time before we ever see District 10 on the big screen. During an interview with IGN, Neill Blomkamp revealed that he does have an idea for District 10.

Six years after The Academy Awards expanded the Best Picture category up to a possible 10 nominees, The Hollywood Reporter reveals that the Academy of Motion Picture Arts and Sciences is considering a move back to just five Best Picture nominees. While nothing is set in stone yet, the site reports that "a significant fraction" of the 6,000-member Academy are pushing for the move. He went on to direct two more sci-fi adventures, Elysium and Chappie, although he turned down several opportunities to board big-budget franchises as well, that is, until this Alien Sequel.

For the past two years, I've been breaking down my Top 10 movies, Most Underrated Movies and Most Overrated Movies all in one piece. This year, we've decided to switch things up a bit and separate each category for a trifecta of year-end lists, starting with my picks for Most Overrated Movies of 2013. Last year, I saw just under 150 movies, and I was determined to surpass that mark in 2013, which I did. Columbia Pictures has acquired domestic distribution and a good portion of the available international distribution rights to David Ayer's epic war film Fury, with Brad Pitt set to star in the leading role, it was announced today by QED International CEO Bill Block and Doug Belgrad, President of Columbia Pictures. QED is producing the film with John Lesher's Le Grisbi Productions and Ethan Smith. Alex Ott is co-producing the feature with Ayer. Principal photography is set to begin in September 2013 and Columbia anticipates releasing Fury on November 14, 2014.

Director Neill Blomkamp, star Sharlto Copley, and producer Simon Kinberg joined us in Los Angeles, with Matt Damon joining the discussion via a live feed that was streamed from a packed theater in Berlin, Germany. After Matt Damon thanked everyone for "skipping work or school" to be there, we were shown the first trailer, which will debut later today. We are shown the lush amenities that the Elysium space station has to offer - home to the world's elite and most wealthy citizens while the rest of the Earth's population live on an overpopulated and decaying Earth below. One of the luxuries of Elysium that we see right away is when an attractive woman gets into a tanning booth, and the computer identifies trace elements of cancer in her system, which are removed within seconds. We also meet Max De Costa (Matt Damon), a lowly Earth resident who desperately needs to get to Elysium, along with a number of fantastic action sequences that will surely whet any action and/or sci-fi fan's appetite to see this film.

It's too early to tell just yet, as we've only seen a handful of set photos and a slight few official images from the sci-fi thriller starring Matt Damon and Jodie Foster. The storyline tackles class warfare, with the wealthiest of the human race living on a man-made space station. A new photo has arrived, which is a variation on the images and themes we've already seen. It features a bald Damon walking softly in a robotic suit of armor while carrying a very big gun. His character, Max, is tasked with taking on a life-threatening mission that could unite the two polarizing class infrastructures that make up this futuristic world.
