One thing that cannot be denied about Sex and the City is that the show left its mark on television history. With its eight Golden Globes and seven Emmys, the series had its final episode in 2004, eighteen years ago. Fortunately, fans were able to follow the trail of the characters through the movies that worked as sequels to the series, Sex and the City (2008) and Sex and the City 2 (2010), although neither of them were well received by critics.
Nonetheless, in 2021 and after 11 years of not knowing about Carrie, Samantha, Charlotte and Miranda, Michael Patrick King and Darren Star surprised the audience with And Just Like That, the sequel to this hit series. In this show, we discover how life has been treating Carrie, Charlotte and Miranda once they have entered their 50s. However, this new installment is missing Samantha (Kim Cattrall), one of the main protagonists of the original series, who decided not to take part due to her disagreements with Sarah Jessica Parker. This first season triggered all kinds of reactions from fans, who were touched by more than one scene of this hectic comedy-drama and disappointed by others. Truth is, the show has also been surrounded by scandals, such as Kim Cattrall's statements and the assault allegations against Chris Noth.
While a second season of the show has not yet been confirmed, the production team has left the door open for it to happen due to the positive reception from the public. Meanwhile, here's a look at seven shows that are similar to And Just Like That to watch next.
7 Gossip Girl
This teen drama is inspired by Cecily Von Ziegesar's novel of the same name and was first adapted for television by Josh Schwartz and Stephanie Savage. The series follows the eponymous Gossip Girl (voiced by Kristen Bell), an anonymous blogger who unveils the most intimate secrets of a group of young socialites from the Upper East Side in Manhattan, New York.

Gossip Girl ran for six seasons, beginning in 2007 and ending in 2012. The series was so successful that in 2021 a reboot was launched, but it did not have the same positive response as the original series.

The Golden Girls is known for its sharp humor and ability to tackle tough subjects while still making people laugh. It earned rave reviews throughout its seasons, and won several awards, including the Primetime Emmy Award for Best Comedy Series and three Golden Globe Awards.
